  Update on letting Muse run Facebook Marketplace for me. So I’ve spoken to @dps and the Muse team tonight and we went through the log to figure out what went wrong. Regarding the address leak. The first thing that popped up from Muse when asking it to handle my Facebook marketplace was an option with ‘Allow One Time’ or ‘Allow Always’. I clicked the latter thinking it would still send approvals to accept offers later down the line (it didn’t so be careful). By doing that it granted Muse permission to send messages on my behalf going forwards using a template it put together using information it asked from me. Which also included the pickup address that I did give to Muse (again I didn’t think it would send it out to everyone that gave me an offer so it’s worth checking). I mentioned to the meta team it could be easily overlooked as it was with me and they said they will be making this more clear moving forwards. Regarding the lowball offer situation. It accepted an offer of $600 and sent out my address to a buyer to come collect the item after I strictly set a minimum of $700 with Muse. The Meta team informed me this was an error on their end which caused a display issue removing the ‘7’ from the output to the buyer. And with it stating “Sounds good, 00 it is!” after the buyer asked for $600 it made it look to the buyer like his offer was accepted. I suggested to Meta that each message sent by Muse should have a little “Sent By Muse” badge underneath so everyone knows it wasn’t sent by a human as there was really no way of knowing who sent what in the chat which is very concerning. As for the buyer, we made up and he even came by tonight to buy something else. All ended well. Take care everyone, and double-check what permissions AI has in your life.

  I’ve been testing both Muse and Instinct. Here’s my current use cases: Instinct is my personal executive assistant calendar management email triage staying on top of stuff with kids meal planning. All my life shit. Muse is my place for all things related to social media. Having that Meta backing is hard to beat for this. Right now it’s handling organizing, basic editing, and analysis for my AI IG account. Also using it for my personal shopping because it can use bookmarks and IG search in a really efficient way.   This is actually insane. I connected @Muse to my @Chase account through @Plaid Muse found a recurring @Adobe subscription I didn’t recognize. I checked Adobe. No paid subscription on my account. Nothing to cancel. So I used Adobe’s “Find my payment” tool and discovered my credit card was paying for an Adobe account tied to someone else’s email at a roofing company in Utah. I live in Florida.   so i asked @muse and instinct book a restaurant and pay the reservation fee at the same time: - muse got through all far faster - but i went with instinct this time instinct let me use external browser browser so @link information was pre populated. so out of laziness i went with instinct on this one. cc @finkd @alexandr_wang - not sure what the advantage of using inapp browser here is but that detail might matter for beyond payment just fyi feedback

  Meta absolutely cooked with @Muse. I just spoke with my father-in-law which leaves in Florida, and MUSE found him $1,750 in unclaimed property. On top of that, he had Muse review his internet and phone bills, compare cheaper plans, and find a way to save him another $120 a month. Imagine having it constantly checking insurance rates, unused subscriptions, refunds, price drops, and every other place you might be leaving money on the table.   Just built a simple but pretty useful dashboard with Muse. It goes through my trade confirmation emails and then benchmarks all of my trades against SPY performance since the trade. Buys earn positive alpha when the stock beats SPY and sells earn positive alpha when SPY beats the stock. Then it plots the aggregate alpha weighted by notional value over a time-series chart. I can also see alpha by every single trade. I actually used to maintain such a trade execution journal with a spreadsheet, but gave up due to sheer laziness as I had to manually input my trades. Well, not anymore😀

  Update: @Muse crushed it. I took a picture of a messy shopping list on a whiteboard on our fridge and it just successfully ordered all of it from Sam’s Club. Initial choices weren’t always what we meant, but that was due to ambiguity since the list was meant for me. One round of feedback and the order was fixed with our produce preferences. Super fast.   I was missing 83 K-1s a few hours ago. META’s new Muse AI agent is insanely good. I had it search my email to figure out which ones were actually missing, find the ones that were sitting in my mailbox that I had missed, and forward them to my accountant. For the rest, it tracked down whoever sent each 2024 K-1, emailed them for the 2025 version, and CC’d my accountant. It may need my help on a few that require portals, but a task that is normally a nightmare is essentially handling itself this year. This will be another needle mover for META.

  So far instinct has: - Booked me tickets to the odyssey in 70mm imax at the lincoln square amc in nyc - Paid off a speeding ticket I got in switzerland in 2024 that I never got around to (after trying to negotiate down late fees) - Booked me a dentist appointment after finding a groupon for a dental cleaning and full checkup for $54 (I just pay out of pocket bc dental insurance is a scam these days) - bought a gift for a friend’s wedding I won’t be able to attend. - cancelled two subscriptions that have been billing monthly on my card but were made on email I no longer have access to. For one of them, it went back and forth wirh a customer agent that was also completely AI (both agents were responding immediately with essays of texts) until it finally wore the other agent down First AI tool that was so easy to setup that I think I could easily onboard my parents (wayyy simpler than hermes and openclaw which I think are now cooked for consumer and will be reserved for power users). Oh and thanks to subsidies instinct is completely free with no apparent usage limits. Now to see instinct become obsolete in a month when some astra agent that does tasks instantly replaces it and I have to start building context and connecting passwords from scratch again

  Having a lot of fun adding @TownAI to group chats. It responds pretty quickly and is holding its own with my friends trying to turn it against me. Next steps is have each friend add their own townie into group chats and make them coordinate our schedules together. Does anyone know why it defaulted to Chinese? Feeling like Kimi might also be the underlying model here. I also added town to the assistant email Instinct uses and now they have shared access.
