Agents you reach by text are arriving faster than anyone is cataloguing them, and most of what is written about the tools to build them is written by the companies selling those tools. This directory exists to be the version that is not.

We say so because it is the thing most likely to make this site untrustworthy if left unsaid. A directory whose owner quietly ranks their own product is an advertisement wearing a reference work’s clothes, and that describes more of this category than it should.

The rules that follow: no product connected to the operator receives featured placement, preferential ordering, or a better listing than the evidence supports. Listings are ordered alphabetically and nothing else. Nobody can buy a position, a rating, or an entry. If a listing here reads as anything other than neutral, say so and we will look at it.

Anonymity is not a way to avoid that accountability. Every claim on this site links to a primary source with the date we checked it, so the work can be verified without needing to trust whoever did it.
