Agents you open, not agents you text

These do the same work as the 39 in the directory and are not in it, for one reason each: you reach them in an app of their own rather than in a thread you already have. The job is identical and the reach is not, and reach is the whole premise of this site, so the line stays and the exclusions get a page.

What is out, and why

  1. Claude

    Why it is not listed. You reach it in Anthropic's own apps or on the web. It publishes no messaging channel, no number and no way into a thread you already have.

    The most common thing a reader already uses when they arrive here, and the one they compare everything against. Checked 2026-09-09.

  2. Grok Bot

    An agent you brief like a teammate, working on a persistent cloud machine with a browser and a terminal

    Why it is not listed. Its own documentation says you work with a Bot by messaging it inside the Grok Bot app. There is no thread you already have.

Two products people expect to find here are in the directory instead, because they reach people inside a messaging app rather than only in their own: Meta’s Muse in WhatsApp, and the assistants a competition regulator put back on that channel. The test is never how large the company is. It is whether you can reach it where you already talk to people.
