What separates Muse and Tomo

This pair is a scope comparison rather than a feature one. Muse is filed as an assistant and its list runs wide: email, calendar, bookings, travel, payments, research, code. Tomo is filed as coaching, and what it sells is accountability, which is a product whose whole value is the message you did not request.

How you start

Tomo is a number you text, with nothing to install and no account first. Muse asks you to sign up. Tomo's route is the lowest friction shape in this directory and twenty five listings use it.

What it costs

Neither will say. Muse says free for most of what people need with plans above it and publishes no figure. Tomo's pricing path redirects to a login, which is a different way of not answering. Two products, two blanks, and twenty five listings here share the condition.

Tomo rewrote its policy on 24 September 2026 and gained the section this directory asks every group agent for. It says a group chat is not a private conversation: it receives every message and attachment, and somebody who never created an account gets a record linked to their phone number and can be messaged directly. Muse does not address this at all. For once the smaller product is the one that wrote it down.

Who carries the messages

Tomo names Linq as its infrastructure partner. Muse is Meta and carries its own. Both can be answered, which is not true of most of this directory.

Who trains on your messages

Muse states an opt-out with a switch. Tomo's is qualified and specific to its subject: it says it does not use health data to train or improve generalised models, which is a narrower promise than it first reads as, because the narrowness is the point of a coaching product.

Who is behind it

Meta against Mapo Labs, Inc., which raised a $5M seed led by Bain Capital Ventures announced in June 2026. Tomo's operating company is not named on its product pages, only in the policy, which is a thing worth knowing before you text it.
