How Orchid works
Orchid covers email triage, calendar management and bookings, and reports having processed more than 220,000 emails.
It was founded by Nizar Abi Zaher and Adam Wazzan with a team of three, and came through Y Combinator's S25 batch. Its launch announcement was widely mocked on social media, which is worth recording only because launch reception and product quality correlate poorly in this category and the numbers above came after.
How you start was recorded as unknown while the listing carried a published number and a working text link, which cannot both be true. It is a number you text.
Read again in September, and it has the best supplier disclosure of any listing here. Not a list of names but a table: Convex, Cloudflare, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Composio, Stripe, Resend, Linq for SMS and iMessage when you enable it, PostHog and Sentry, each with a link to that company's own privacy policy and, where one exists, its SOC 2 report. Nothing else here makes its own suppliers checkable.
Its answer to the training question is one nothing else in this directory gives. It does not say no and it does not say yes: "We don't train shared models on your data. We train your model on your data." That is the personal-model position, and Orchid is the only listing holding it.
Its number is not a number. One page load returned two different ones and an earlier reading returned a third, which puts it with the other products here running a pool.
The policy's own change log gained a line on 14 September 2026: the contact address for privacy, security and data requests changed. Nothing else in the document moved.
