How Duckbill works
Duckbill takes the jobs that need a person on the other end of a phone: calling the airline for a refund, finding an in-network dermatologist who is not booked into 2027, cancelling the gym membership, sitting in a hold queue, having the argument. Its own line is that AI is good at figuring things out and bad at getting them done.
It is the only listing here that says out loud that people do part of the work. There is a page recruiting Doers and a product called the Human API, which puts it in a different category from everything else on this site: not an agent with a handoff, an operation with software in front of it.
$40 a month, and it claims sixteen million real-world interactions handled, which is the largest interaction figure any listing publishes.
Its privacy policy is the oldest in the directory by a wide margin, last updated in December 2024, which is before most of what the front page now advertises existed. It also governs two domains at once, getduckbill.com and duckbill.ai. There is no statement about training, no model provider and no messaging provider anywhere in it.
