An assistant you text or use on the web that spins up standing agents for research, inbox, fares and bookings
Robyn is an AI agent you reach on iMessage and Web. To start, you need an invitation. It reaches out on a schedule.
How Robyn works
Robyn takes a one-sentence request and sets agents running on it: finding apartments that fit a budget, watching a fare until it drops, sorting a morning inbox, briefing you on a company before a call. Each agent keeps standing instructions and reports back on its own schedule. You reach it on the web or by text, where results arrive as links to a report, a PDF or a photo in the thread.
It opened by invitation on 29 October 2026. Its founder, Jenny Shao, announced it on X with 1,000 invite codes. Its front page names the services it connects to, from Gmail, Slack and GitHub to Plaid, Oura and Home Assistant. It charges in credits per run, and the front page shows what each example cost.
Robyn started as something else. When TechCrunch covered its launch in November 2025, it was an iOS app built as an emotionally intelligent companion, and the same company had raised $5.5 million led by M13. Memory runs through both: Shao worked in the lab of Eric Kandel, who won a Nobel Prize for his research on memory, and the site now describes the product as powered by "neuro-mimetic memory".
Its policy trains on what you send, with one exception, Google account data, and offers no opt-out.
