A household manager you text, from the founder of Care.com, with human assistants behind the AI
Ohai is an AI agent you reach on SMS. To start, create an account. It reaches out on a schedule.
How Ohai works
Ohai is a household manager it calls O, built by the founder of Care.com. You send it a text, forward a school email, or upload a photo of a schedule, and it turns them into calendar entries, reminders and tasks, with a morning summary of the family's day.
It says people work alongside the model. Its privacy policy describes the service as AI and trained internal staff it calls Human Assistants, and says it records the interactions when it contacts a third party for you. It plans trips, finds answers, and builds a grocery list that it can send to Instacart.
The policy is direct about training: those interactions are used for training its algorithms, and it names OpenAI as a recipient of calendar and contact details. Deletion happens on a written request; the policy says it is not obliged to delete before one.
The free version covers reminders, meal planning and lists. Shared calendars and family coordination sit in the paid plans, priced by how many people use them.
