How Eugene works

Eugene is the narrow one: reminders, routines, the calendar and the facts of your life, kept and sent back by SMS from a toll-free number, with Telegram for anyone outside the US and Canada. Its own FAQ says what it is not for, essays and code, and sends you to other products for those. What it does do it does on a schedule: it texts first when a reminder is due, runs recurring routines and digests, and does quick research and follow-ups without being asked again.

Two things are unusual for this category. The memory is inspectable: every fact it has saved about you is browsable and editable on a dashboard, which is the answer to a question most listings here leave to the policy. And it will remind other people, with their consent: they tap once to confirm, each reminder is labelled with your name, and they can stop it, which is one of the few public answers anywhere to what happens to the person who did not sign up.

The way in is the number, no app and no signup, with a magic link to the dashboard if you want it. No price is published anywhere and the pricing page does not exist. The policy is dated May 2026, names Vercel and Neon as where data lives, says its model providers may not train on your data, and does not say what Eugene itself does with it, which is the qualified row. No company is named; the site lives on one domain and the contact address on another.

Does Eugene train on your conversations?

Trains on your conversationsQualified statementWe do not allow these providers to train on your data. Providers may change over time; we use providers under enterprise-grade data processing terms.
Data of people who never signed upAddressedConnect with someone (they tap once to confirm), then ask Eugene to text them reminders on your behalf. Every reminder is clearly labeled "From [your name]," and they can stop anytime.
What it holds when you connect an accountA scoped token OAuth only, revocable from the provider's sideFor Google Calendar, Eugene reads, creates, edits, and deletes events. Notion connects the same way. Each takes one tap via a magic link Eugene sends you in chat.
If you cancelEvery memory can be read, edited or deleted from the dashboard; the account and its data can be deleted. No period stated.

Whose hands your messages pass throughWho carries them, who runs the model, who drives the browser, and which of those Eugene names. With what its policy leaves unanswered, counted against the rest of the directory.

Eugene’s own pages answer 6 of the 9 questions this site asks of every listing. Not answered: names who carries the messages, names its model providers, says where to report a bug. About the middle of its kind: 29th of 51 personal assistants.
