How it works
Boardy works by phone call rather than text: it calls you, learns what you are looking for, and then introduces you to people. It reports 166,000 users, around 114,000 introductions made, roughly $63B in capital introduced, and a 17-hour average time to a match.
It is the only voice-first product in this directory, which makes it a useful contrast, the same job as the text-based introduction agents, done in a channel with far higher friction per interaction and, by its own numbers, more throughput. Its CEO publicly apologised after a campaign in which the AI commented on people's appearances.

Boardy ran a campaign in which its AI commented on people's appearances. Its chief executive apologised publicly afterwards.
Why it is notable
A failure mode that only exists because the agent speaks in the founder's voice to strangers. When an agent introduces people, its judgement is the product, and there is no interface layer between a bad output and a real person hearing it.
Relevant to anyone building in the introductions space: the agent is acting socially on your behalf with people who did not opt into talking to software. The cost of a bad output is not a wrong answer, it is a damaged relationship that belongs to the user rather than the product.
