How Alfi works
Alfi lives in the group chat rather than in a thread of your own: it joins naturally, plans events, and books dinner through Yelp. Its own figure is 500,000 people and 60 million messages, which is the largest user count any listing here publishes, and it names Y Combinator and SV Angel as backers.
Its privacy policy is the most granular in the directory on one specific thing: how long each individual field is kept. The phone number for the account lifetime plus thirty days, the display name until you change it, the date of birth for the account lifetime because the minimum age is thirteen. Nothing else here itemises retention field by field.
One thing needs saying because it is the sort of detail this site exists to catch. The policy is written for TextAI Corporation and the footer of the same site says Alfi Corporation. Both appear on pages a reader might land on first, and nothing published says whether they are the same entity, so the company row records what the policy says and notes the other.
