The purest version of the proactive agent: it does one search, forever, and only speaks when something changes. Zeme monitors rental listings in New York City, Miami, the Bay Area and Southern California, pulling from Zillow, StreetEasy and what it describes as more than a hundred other sources, and texts the moment one matches what you asked for.

It does not stop at finding. When you pick a place, it writes the inquiry, emails the lister and introduces you, which makes it one of the few listings here that contacts a stranger on your behalf rather than only reporting back to you.

Renters pay nothing, and the FAQ is unusually blunt about it: no subscription, no premium tier, no fee at any point. The money is on the other side, on a page for agents and landlords that also publishes no price.

Two things are worth knowing before texting it. The button on its own site is not a plain link: the message it composes carries a verification code generated for whoever is looking at the page, so the door is per visitor and there is no single link to publish. And the privacy policy sits on a different domain, was last updated in October 2023, and reads like a rental portal's rather than an agent's: it covers advertising cookies, data brokers and the sale opt-out, and mentions neither AI nor training nor the people a lister-facing inquiry reaches. The security disclosure is the opposite, a trust centre naming a SOC 2 Type 1 report and a privacy address.
