How it works
Ember calls itself "your smartest friend in iMessage, the friend who never leaves you on read." There is no app and no signup: one link starts the conversation, which is the lowest-friction onboarding in this entire directory.
Its most common real use is narrower than its pitch: people screenshot a confusing message from a date or a friend and ask what to say back. Served off Firebase, currently a free open beta. Note that a different, unrelated product from Oriscen is also called Ember.

Why it is notable
The gap between the pitch and the actual use is the whole story. A product sold as broad companionship found its real job in one specific, slightly anxious moment, and that moment is not mentioned anywhere in its marketing.
Worth reading alongside the onboarding data: Ember also has the lowest-friction start of anything in this directory, one tap on a link with no app and no signup. Extremely cheap entry gets people through the door, and what they do once inside turns out not to be what the door advertised.
