Beside is an AI agent you reach on iMessage. To start, text a number. It messages you first rather than waiting to be asked.
How Beside works
The mechanic is unlike anything else here. You share your live location through Apple's own location sharing in Messages, tell Beside what you care about, and it watches the map in the background and texts when something you asked about is near. Standing watches rather than questions: tee time deals along the route out, kid-friendly hotels on the drive to Nashville, where the golden hour shot is tonight.
Its privacy policy is the only one in the directory that names its whole chain rather than a category. Cloudflare for hosting and email, Stripe for billing, Sentry for errors, PostHog and Google Analytics for the site, OpenStreetMap and Google Maps for places, Anthropic for the model, and Apple for iMessage delivery. That last one is the finding: every other listing here that names a carrier names one of the iMessage providers, and Beside names Apple.
It is also the only listing operated from Poland, and the policy reads like it. The legal bases are set out article by article under GDPR and UK GDPR, the Polish supervisory authority is named for complaints, and California rights sit alongside rather than instead. Precise location is handled as consent, which is the right basis for it and not the one most products would have picked.
Two smaller notes. The training line rules out third-party model training and says nothing about Beside's own. And the site is published in more than fifty languages, which is either the widest reach in the directory or a translation plugin, and the pages themselves do not say which.
