What it says under the button
Most products put the training answer in a privacy policy. Boba puts it under the button, in the same paragraph as the terms link: messages you send may be used to improve Boba.
That is unusual enough to be the reason to write this down. Of the 84 listings here, it is the only one that puts its training answer on the front page rather than in a document. 23 say plainly that they do not train on your conversations. Boba says plainly that it might, in the place you will actually see it.
Its policy backs that up in the ordinary way, listing developing, training and fine-tuning models among the things personal information is used for, and offers no opt-out for it. The choices section covers marketing emails, texts and cookies.
How you start
You text a number. No account, nothing to install, no waitlist. 25 listings here work that way, and it is the lowest-friction shape in this market.
Then you can add it to a group, which is what it is built for. It hangs back through normal chatter and speaks when somebody needs a restaurant picked or an argument settled, and you can remove it from the thread whenever you like.
The thing to think about before adding it to a group

Boba's policy acknowledges collecting from a group chat where it and you are both participants. What it does not say is what the other people in that thread can ask for. That is not unique to Boba: it is the most common blank in this directory, and the listings that do address it are the minority.
A second surface arrived
By 25 September 2026 the header carries "Boba Web", linking to a page that asks for the phone number you text Boba on, sends a verification code, and says this also creates your account.
Nothing to download is still true. The other half of the pitch on the same front page, no login, is now true of the thread and not of the web app.
