Sendblue vs Tuco AI

The axis is how much of the machinery you want to see. Tuco itemises a Mac mini and an Apple ID in its setup fee; Sendblue abstracts the same layer behind a monthly price.

What actually differs

Tuco charges $335 once and $149 a month, and tells you what the setup fee buys: a dedicated Mac mini, a warmed Apple ID, and carrier KYC in your business name. It contrasts itself with what it calls a SaaS API on top of someone else's pool. Sendblue charges $100 a month with no setup fee and does not describe the underlying arrangement.

That difference is presentational rather than architectural. Because Apple publishes no general iMessage API, something equivalent is running behind both. The practical consequences are the ones to compare: Tuco publishes a cap of 50 new conversations and 150 messages per line per day, so growth means buying lines, and it commits to resolving Apple ID problems in 24 to 48 hours. Sendblue publishes no equivalent cap, holds SOC 2 and HIPAA claims Tuco does not, and gates outbound behind Enterprise.

Sendblue is for

Teams who want the infrastructure invisible and the invoice simple.

Tuco AI is for

Teams who would rather know exactly what is running their line, and who can live with a hard daily cap.
